Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks an Instructor or Senior Instructor in Cardiovascular Sciences to teach undergraduate CVT courses and mentor students. The role combines teaching with administrative service across the CVT program and related health sciences areas.

The successful candidate will advance clinical training partnerships, develop curriculum, and support students transitioning to CVT careers with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in cardiovascular sciences or closely related field by start date.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in cardiovascular technology or related field with relevant credentials.
• Current or prior professional certification such as RCIS, RDCS, RVT, RCES, RCS, or RVS.
• Experience teaching advanced cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Strong communication, organizational, mentoring, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor undergraduate students preparing for CVT and health sciences careers.
• Instruct advanced cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and related topics.
• Lead a professional development course for cardiovascular technologists.
• Develop and strengthen partnerships with CVT training programs and hospitals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and serve student advisors in CVT pathways.
