Job summary

Wander Staffing seeks an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to support METC operations at Fort Sam Houston, TX. You will turn training requirements into measurable learning objectives and develop resident and distance-learning materials using the PADDIE framework.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of instructional design experience, master-level knowledge of the PADDIE framework, and a desirable bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant instructional systems design experience.
• Master-level knowledge of the PADDIE framework, instructional systems development, adult learning theory, training research, statistics, and instructional technology
• Experience developing learning objectives, course plans, instructional materials, testing plans, and assessment tools
• Strong communication and presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is desirable
• Ability to complete required DHA onboarding and security training

Responsibilities

• Use the PADDIE framework to turn training requirements into measurable learning objectives, lessons, units, and courses
• Plan, develop, review, and revise resident and distance-learning course content, learning maps, course plans, and instructional materials
• Design and evaluate testing and assessment tools, analyze exam and survey results, and recommend curriculum improvements based on the data
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, Program Directors, Department Chairs, and other stakeholders throughout course development and approval
