Job summary

Wander Staffing is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to work at METC Fort Sam Houston, TX, applying the PADDIE framework to develop measurable objectives, lessons, and courses. The role includes planning and revising resident and distance-learning content, and improving assessments and curriculum in collaboration with program leaders.

The candidate should have 5+ years in instructional systems design, strong communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of instructional systems design experience.
• Master-level knowledge of the PADDIE framework, instructional systems development, adult learning theory, training research, statistics, and instructional technology.
• Experience developing learning objectives, course plans, instructional materials, testing plans, and assessment tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Use the PADDIE framework to turn training requirements into measurable learning objectives, lessons, units, and courses.
• Plan, develop, review, and revise resident and distance-learning course content, learning maps, course plans, and instructional materials.
• Design and evaluate testing and assessment tools, analyze exam and survey results, and recommend curriculum improvements based on the data.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, Program Directors, Department Chairs, and other stakeholders throughout course development and approval.
