Job summary

Wander Staffing seeks three Instructional Systems Specialists to support METC at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The role designs and develops resident and distance-learning courses for DoW medical specialties, translating service requirements into effective training.

You will apply ADDIE/PADDIE, ensure accreditation alignment (CCAF/ACE), and collaborate with curriculum leaders, program managers, and instructors to maintain materials and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in instructional systems design (ISD), education, adult learning, or a closely related field; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus at least eight (8) years of highly specialized DoW ISD experience
• At least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work, with coursework in at least four of five areas: learning theory, instructional design, educational evaluation, instructional product development, and computers in education/training
• Minimum of five (5) years directly designing military training systems using PADDIE/ADDIE and navigating military academic accreditation
• Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design, development, and measurement methods for full-length courses, training products, and assessment plans
• Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory, training research, statistics, educational technology, and consolidated DoW training development

Responsibilities

• Develop resident and distance-learning courses for single-Service and multi-Service military medical specialties
• Use PADDIE/ADDIE to convert Service requirements into learning objectives, lessons, units, courses, learning maps, program control documents, and training materials
• Ensure course products support CCAF, ACE, and other accreditation requirements and coordinate approvals with METC curriculum leadership
• Advise program managers, instructional staff, and senior leaders; develop, review, revise, and maintain instructional materials and curriculum repositories
• Design testing and assessment plans; analyze test validity/reliability and survey data; recommend curriculum improvements; and support special projects

Wander Staffing is seeking three (3) Instructional Systems Specialists (ISS) to support the Medical Education & Training Campus (METC) at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This role supports the design and development of resident and distance-learning courses for Department of War medical specialties, translating Service-specific requirements into effective single-Service and multi-Service training.

• METC Headquarters, Building 1291: 3176 CPL Johnson Rd, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234
• Academic Support / Curriculum Support

COMPENSATION

• Rate: $57.84/hr
• W2 Position
• Medical benefits available

SCHEDULE

• Core Hours: 0700-1700, Monday-Friday
• Staggered arrival (0700-0800) / departure (1600-1700) windows

CONTRACT DETAILS

• 30 September 2026 - 29 September 2027
• Monday through Friday; no work required on recognized federal holidays
