Job summary

Amentum is seeking a senior Instructional Systems Designer to design, develop, and revise complex e-learning and instructor-led training for technically oriented courses in a government contracting context.

You will collaborate with SMEs, CM, LMS, QA, and instructors to ensure accessibility (Section 508/WCAG) and validate learning outcomes across modules and releases, driving continuous improvement and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAM/ADDIE instructional design models
• Proficient with LMS and government-approved authoring tools such as Captivate
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills for SME collaboration
• Background knowledge of complex hardware/software systems is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design learning objects for interactive e-training solutions using approved tools such as Captivate
• Test and QA modular eLearning objects and validate against criteria
• Develop practice exercises in virtualized environments for real-world learning
• Create formative and summative assessments linking objectives to assessment artifacts
• Provide task leadership and oversee junior designers
• Map course objectives to KSA/JQS requirements and establish learning pathways
