Amentum is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer in the Hanover, MD area to design, develop, and govern complex e-learning solutions for government programs. You will work with SMEs, maintain design standards, and ensure accessibility and validation across modules.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, mapping objectives to competencies, and coordinating with CM, QA, LMS, and instructors for controlled releases.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Education, English, Communications, or related field; six years of relevant experience.
• Or Master's degree and eight years of relevant experience.
• Or Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant experience.
• Or Associate's degree (or 18 semester hours) and twelve years of relevant experience.
• Or High school diploma/GED and fourteen years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy; knowledge of adult learning methods (SAM/ADDIE); and familiarity with LMS and Captivate.

Responsabilités

• Design learning objects for interactive e-training solutions using Captivate or Government-approved tools.
• Test and apply QA methodologies for modularized eLearning objects with validation criteria.
• Design cumulative eLearning practical exercises in a virtualized environment simulating real-world scenarios.
• Create formative and summative assessments ensuring traceability between objectives, instruction, and assessment artifacts.
• Provide task leadership, manage workflows, and oversee junior designers.
• Develop structure for mapping course objectives to KSA/JQS requirements.
• Establish learning pathways, prerequisites, and sequencing rules for progressive mastery.
• Ensure Section 508/WCAG accessibility is designed into courseware and document validation evidence.
• Coordinate with Configuration Management for version control and release packaging.
• Lead pilot and post-delivery improvement cycles using learner data and feedback.
• Develop and evaluate high-stakes exams for web-based training.
