Job Title: Senior Instructional Designer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking Senior Instructional Designer experience in developing multimedia-rich learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Articulate Rise and Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Canva, TechSmith Camtasia, and SharePoint.

The role requires more than five years of experience designing educational eLearning products, including video-based learning, microlearning videos, and eLearning/SCORM courses, along with a strong understanding of how to integrate various media elements to support diverse learning styles and enhance the learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design educational materials that align with established branding and visual guidelines, adapting and customizing content while maintaining organizational standards.
• Apply advanced graphic design skills to education and training materials, enriching course content to maximize learner engagement.
• Deliver a range of learning content, including quick reference guides, educational and microlearning videos, and eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Canva.
• Create content thumbnails and conduct thorough content testing with subject matter experts (SMEs) and test users to validate educational materials and the overall learning experience.
• Upload completed SCORM courses to the Learning Management System (LMS) and educational videos to appropriate repositories. Maintain and update internal SharePoint pages, including links, content, and thumbnails, making edits needed to improve engagement and learning flow.
• Write content for internal communications, including Teams channels and LMS communication areas, to inform stakeholders about newly launched learning projects and resources.
• Collaborate closely with the Manager, Learning & Development, AI & Digital Upskilling, seeking and responding to feedback related to branding, content delivery, and overall look and feel.
• Demonstrate strong adaptability and make prompt adjustments when initial concepts or materials do not align with established guidelines, project requirements, or stakeholder expectations.
• Engage stakeholders and lead calls with subject matter experts, effectively managing feedback, and providing regular progress updates.
• Use project management tools, including Jira, to track project timelines, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and overall progress across multiple Learning & Development initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver weekly project status reports, communicating progress, risks, blockers, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.
• Contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) by summarizing project outcomes, work in progress, key achievements, challenges, and upcoming priorities.
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure learning assets are systematically saved within production libraries and repositories.
• Provide regular updates to the Manager, Learning & Development, AI & Digital Upskilling, and the Associate Director of Learning & Development regarding project status, escalations, risks, and delivery progress.
• Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, ensuring learning materials and project documentation are well structured and contribute to a high-quality learner experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-wide learning content about technology and AI tools, with a working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, practical, and engaging learning experiences for audiences with varying levels of technical proficiency.
• More than five years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, eLearning development, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to design within established branding and visual guidelines, with the flexibility to adapt as branding evolves while balancing creativity and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate calls with subject matter experts, incorporate feedback from SMEs and Learning & Development leadership, and consistently track and communicate content development progress.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator for multimedia and visual content development.
• Proficiency in Articulate Rise and Storyline, including the development of engaging eLearning and SCORM-based learning experiences.
• Experience creating and editing educational video and microlearning content.
• Experience working with SharePoint and maintaining learner-facing or internal learning pages.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and the ability to manage multiple learning projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, adaptable, and flexible in responding to changing priorities, feedback, and evolving project requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational skills.
