Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to design, develop, and revise complex interactive e‑Learning courses for high‑security training. The role supports government programs and ensures accessibility, validation, and alignment with LMS, SMEs, and QA teams.

The successful candidate will lead design standards, collaborate with content developers, and oversee junior designers while applying the SAM/ADDIE model and using tools like Captivate to deliver instructor‑led and online

Qualifications

• Doctoral, Master's, Bachelor's, Associate's or High School with years of relevant experience as specified.
• Experience with SAM/ADDIE model and adult learning principles.
• Ability to work with SMEs and ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
• Familiarity with government-approved tools and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).

Responsibilities

• Design learning objects for interactive e‑training solutions (Captivate or GOV tools).
• Test and provide QA methodologies for modular eLearning objects with validation criteria.
• Create cumulative eLearning exercises in a virtualized environment for realistic scenarios.
• Develop formative and summative assessments and ensure traceability between objectives, instruction, and assessment artifacts.
• Provide task leadership, manage workflows, and oversee junior designers.
• Map course objectives to KSA/JQS requirements and establish sequencing rules.
• Ensure 508/WCAG accessibility is built into courseware and that evidence is documented.
• Evaluate and develop high‑stakes exams for web‑based training.
