Highland Consulting Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Development Consultant to expand our institutional investment consulting practice across corporate retirement plans and nonprofit institutions.

This role combines proactive business development, ownership of the sales process, and select ongoing institutional client relationships. You will identify decision-makers, advance opportunities through proposals and investment committee presentations, and work

Qualifications

7+ years in institutional business development or related financial services.
Working knowledge of ERISA plans and 3(21)/3(38) models.
Experience prospecting and presenting to senior executives/boards.
Strong written and verbal communication and CRM discipline.
Bachelor’s degree; professional designations valued (CFA/CIMA/CEBS/AIF).

Responsibilities

Source new institutional prospects, nurture relationships with sponsors and committees.
Lead opportunities from discovery to proposal, presentation, negotiation, and closing.
Coordinate RFP responses and create customized pitch materials for investment committees.
Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and next steps with clear pipeline visibility.
Collaborate with consulting and compliance teams to ensure fiduciary alignment.
