Alfred University seeks a Senior Institutional Research Analyst to serve as the university's primary institutional research professional and central data source for reporting requests. You will report to the Provost and manage federal, state, accreditation, and other external reporting requirements with independence.

You will develop recurring and ad hoc analyses, maintain reporting calendars, and collaborate across offices to ensure accurate data for planning, assessment, and decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years in institutional research or related field preferred.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner strongly preferred; experience with Slate, Navigate, DegreeWorks or similar systems desirable.
• Experience developing performance indicators, institutional metrics, and assessment reporting desirable.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel; SQL or other data query languages preferred.
• Experience creating dashboards or data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Argos, Cognos) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collects, analyzes, and reports institutional data to support operations, planning, accreditation, and decision-making.
• Acts as the university's central resource for institutional data and reporting requests.
• Coordinates federal, state, accreditation, IPEDS, SUNY, MSCHE, and other external reporting requirements.
• Produces recurring publications and reports, including the University Fact Book.
• Develops and maintains reporting procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develops dashboards and ad hoc analyses to support priorities and information needs.
