Qualifications

• Must have graduated from high school or GED and several years of inspection experience in public works/water facilities.
• Experience with construction management practices, reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and procedures (ACI, NEC, AWWA, ASTM).
• Ability to analyze complex plans and coordinate field inspections across multiple contracts.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed complex inspections of multi-disciplined public works, waterworks and utility construction projects.
• Integrate plans, details and specifications to ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare project inspection reports and assist in change orders.
• Meet with contractors/engineers and attend design reviews and progress meetings.
• Monitor construction activities within rights-of-way to protect transmission lines and facilities.
