Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Inspector to inspect difficult and complex construction sites and enforce building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and development codes.

You will perform pre/post inspections, support the toilet replacement program, communicate with staff and citizens, and collaborate with departments and contractors to ensure code compliance and safe neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of field inspection experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Equivalency: assoc degree + 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect complex construction sites to enforce codes.
• Support toilet replacement program and plumbing inspections.
• Respond to inquiries from staff and citizens on code compliance.
• Coordinate with departments, inspectors, contractors, and boards.
• Train and lead others on inspection procedures.
• Participate in outreach and training on company projects.
