Job summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions seeks a Senior Aerospace Inspector in Buena Park, CA, onsite. This role acts as the technical authority on the shop floor, guiding inspection standards and leading critical quality activities for die cast components used in automotive and aerospace sectors.

The position requires a strong metrology background, GD&T expertise, and the ability to mentor Inspectors I and II. It offers permanent placement with a stable, growth-oriented employer and full-time hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-8+ years of progressive quality inspection experience in manufacturing, including die casting, automotive, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand and walk frequently, and perform detailed inspections with precision measurement equipment in varying temperature environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection activities for complex die cast components, verifying critical dimensions and customer-specific requirements.
• Perform advanced dimensional analysis using CMMs and other precision measurement systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to lead first article inspections, PPAP submissions, and capability studies.
• Investigate significant nonconformances and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Inspectors I and II while supporting ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance.

• Expert blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• CMM operation and reporting proficiency.
• Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and capability studies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
