Job summary

RAVE Aerospace GmbH is seeking a Senior Inspector to perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies. You will determine acceptability per drawings and specs and communicate across production, project management, shipping/receiving, and quality management.

Core tasks include inspecting materials, first articles, and finished goods, and ensuring compliance with PO Instructions, drawings, and QMS requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a Quality Inspection role.
• Experience in aerospace electromechanical quality control inspection.
• Experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS environment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications per ASME Y 14.5 and Y 14.100 and train junior inspectors.
• Willing and able to train junior inspectors on how to use various inspection equipment.

Job description

The Senior Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspection on electronic systems; electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. They are responsible for determining whether parts or assemblies are acceptable based on drawing and specification requirements. The position requires accurate & concise communication between production, project management, shipping/receiving, and quality management.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction and/or experience.
• Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goods.
• Inspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings & Specifications, Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contractual requirements.
• Develop training and train junior individuals on inspection equipment and methods.
• Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned.

• 6+ years of experience working in a Quality Inspection role.

• Willing and able to train junior inspectors on how to use various inspection equipment.
• Experience using mechanical/electrical inspection/test tools (calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, surface plate, height gauges, comparator, gauge blocks, thread gauges, etc.) a plus.
• Experience working with FAA CFR Part 21 requirements, performing and presenting parts for regulatory conformity inspections, and ability to issue 8130's & Form 1sa plus.
• Solid knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements and able to train junior inspector on its completion.
• Must have a clear understanding of document types that are impacted by Configuration Control Changes; e.g. Drawings & Specifications, Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Previous experience working with an ERP or MRP systems.
• Proficient computer skills (MS word, Excel, Outlook).

The starting pay range for this position is $33- $36 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
