Job summary

You will collaborate with clinical documentation integrity and quality teams, resolve coding holds, review quarterly clinics, and participate in ongoing coder education.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Working knowledge of Cerner EMR required.
• Three years inpatient coding experience preferred.
• Experience in a health care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts and assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for inpatient records.
• Ensure accurate MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment for reimbursement.
• Collaborates with clinical documentation integrity and quality teams.
• Follow coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review and respond to coding holds and education activities.
