Job summary

TROY Group is seeking a Senior Ink Chemist in Wheeling, WV to lead R&D efforts in inkjet and security ink formulations. You will guide projects from concept through production, advancing new products and troubleshooting complex formulation challenges.

The role requires deep knowledge of ink chemistry, rigorous testing, and collaboration with QA, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure scalable product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a closely related discipline required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in ink formulation, development, or related specialty chemical formulation, including significant hands-on experience with inkjet ink development.
• Experience independently leading formulation and product-development projects from concept through testing, optimization, scale-up, and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation and development of new inkjet and security ink products, including improving existing formulations.
• Independently plan, execute, analyze, and document complex ink development projects.
• Develop and validate testing methodologies and interpret data to guide formulation decisions.
• Coordinate with QA, Production, and Engineering to scale and transfer formulations to manufacturing.
