Job summary

Currier Plastics in Auburn, NY is seeking a Technician Trainee Level 2 to support injection molding operations through hands-on and instructional training from the Technical Trainer and Lead Technicians. The role covers setup, daily checks, and changeovers, with a focus on timely task completion.

Responsibilities include monitoring process performance, understanding molecular theory basics, and applying concepts to achieve repeatable processes with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous injection molding experience preferred.
• Experience with hand tools required.
• Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, technical and job setup tasks for injection molding operation.
• Perform daily checks and complete changeovers with minimal reassessment.
• Monitor process performance and maintain ISO forms as required.
• Assist with maintenance, PMs, and tool room/quality department tasks.
• Support Lean initiatives and setup reductions to improve efficiency.
