Jobot is seeking a Senior Process Engineer – Injection Molding in an on-site role in Lynchburg, VA. The candidate will lead process development, optimization, and continuous improvement for injection molding operations, collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering to drive efficiency and quality.

Ideal candidates bring extensive molding experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a track record of reducing cycle times and costs while applying scientific molding concepts to tooling

Qualifications

• 15+ years in injection molding with 10+ years in process development.
• Experience with engineering-grade resins.
• Experience with microprocessor-controlled molding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, shutdown, processing, and troubleshooting for injection molding presses and automation.
• Develop, monitor, and optimize molding processes for new and existing tooling.
• Apply scientific molding principles to improve process consistency and product quality.
• Identify opportunities to reduce labor, downtime, cycle times, and manufacturing costs.
• Establish and maintain process monitoring criteria and documentation.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering during mold trials and process development.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives throughout production.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Ensure processes meet applicable quality standards and ISO requirements.
