Job summary

Keter in Indiana seeks a Process Engineer to establish, stabilize, and sustain robust injection molding processes that deliver safe, repeatable, and cost-effective production. This role owns process definition, control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across molding operations, ensuring processes are documented, trained, and enforced to meet quality targets.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Quality to eliminate variability, scrap, and downtime, lead DOE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics/Mechanical/Manufacturing)
• 7–10 years of hands-on injection molding process engineering experience
• Strong understanding of PP/PC material behavior in molding
• Proven ability to analyze data and solve complex process problems
• Experience with SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma preferred
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications, and process data

Responsibilities

• Establish scientifically validated process windows for resins (PP, PC)
• Define and maintain golden settings for melt temp, shear, injection velocity, pack/hold, cooling, mold temp
• Own process setup sheets, standard work, and parameter limits
• Train and mentor organization to run and protect processes
• Lead analysis of defects (flow hesitation, jetting, sinks, warp, etc.) with data-driven methods
• Use DOE, cavity pressure trends, and SPC for permanent solutions
• Support mold trials, tool changes, and new tool introductions
• Ensure molds can run defined process windows and provide input on wear/PM requirements
• Transition QC from inspection-based to process-controlled
• Support scrap investigations and customer complaints with data
