Job summary

TEGNA in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Supervisor, Ingest Operations to lead the Ingest department and oversee the accurate preparation, quality control, and timely distribution of broadcast content across more than 60 stations.

You will coach and develop the Ingest team, manage staffing and workflows, and serve as the primary operational and technical resource, coordinating with Engineering and station personnel to ensure reliable, high‑quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in broadcast/related field.
• 5+ years in broadcast operations or content management, with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of broadcast operations, asset management, file-based workflows.
• Experience with Crispin Automation, Loading Dock, Record Scheduler, WideOrbit Traffic.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel.
• Willing to work onsite in Charlotte, NC and support 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Ingest team with performance management and training.
• Manage staffing, scheduling and shift coverage to ensure continuous support.
• Oversee daily ingest operations to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other departments for escalation.
• Maintain SOPs and training materials, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Oversee ingest, preparation, quality control, and distribution of broadcast content to meet specs.
• Ensure proper scheduling of feeds, file transfers, recordings, downlinks and distribution workflows.
• Support testing and implementation of new technologies and workflows.
