NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Senior Infusion Associate - Brooklyn to support Medical Office and Infusion Intake operations at the Perlmutter Cancer Center. The role includes patient check-in/out, demographic data collection, insurance verification, and scheduling of appointments, procedures, and tests.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and at least 3 years of medical clerical experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of scheduling software.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant medical clerical experience.
• Must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of computer-based scheduling and appointment programs.

Responsabilités

• Provides reception assistance and screens telephone callers.
• Manages patient check-in/check-out and collects demographics and insurance details.
• Schedules routine appointments and coordinates inter-department scheduling for visits/procedures.
• Obtains pre-authorizations and monitors scheduling queues for infusion, office, and lab visits.
• Coordinates testing and sequencing of procedures with other departments.
• Maintains patient and physician schedules and ensures smooth patient flow.
• Maintains confidentiality and provides patient questions answers or routes to senior staff.
