Job summary
UnitedHealth Group in Houston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform sterile compounding and supporting medication management in a regulated environment. The role requires licensure in Texas, a PTCB certificate, and 1+ year of sterile compounding experience, with on-site work Monday through Friday 7 AM to 7 PM.
Compensation includes an hourly wage between $18 and $32, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or 4+ years experience as Pharmacy Technician.
- Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
- 1+ year of sterile compounding experience.
- Onsite work at 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX, Mon–Fri, 7am–7pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterile compounding according to policy and USP 797/800.
- Maintain competency related to sterile compounding.
- Participate in medication management for compounding, including ordering, receiving, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software related to compounding.
- Document cleaning and monitoring activities for sterile compounding areas.
- Team-based triage and prompt response to all compounding needs.
- Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training in sterile compounding.
