Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform sterile compounding and support medication management, in a fast-paced on-site environment. You must hold a Texas license and PTCB certification, with at least one year of sterile compounding experience.

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas

  • 1+ years of consistent sterile compounding experience
  • Ability to work onsite at 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX, Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts between 7 AM - 7 PM

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800
  • Maintain competency related to performing sterile compounding
  • Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding
  • Participate in completing and documenting all cleaning and monitoring activities identified for areas related to sterile compounding including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning requirements
  • Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly
  • Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8-hours shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification program (CPhT)
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
  • Experience working as an Infusion Pharmacy Technician
  • Certified Compounded Sterile Preparations Technician (CSPT) Certification

The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment.
