Job summary

Optum Houston, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support onsite operations in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. You will help with inventory, prescription processing, and ensuring accuracy in compounding records, while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires a Texas Pharmacy Technician license or active eligibility, a HS diploma or GED, and 1+ year of experience. Monday–Friday shifts, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ordering, receiving, counting, and maintaining inventory.
• Unpack and place inventory per storage/refrigeration requirements.
• Accurately gather medications according to compounding records.
• Label prepared compounded sterile products.
• Assist with cleaning of pharmacy prep area and cleanroom.
• Restock pharmacy and cleanroom supplies.
• Package and label prepared medication orders and ensure education materials included.
• Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member data.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
