Job summary

RTX in Honolulu seeks a Senior Infrastructure Systems Administration Engineer to support a government program platform environment. The role focuses on Linux-based operations, COTS implementations, and private cloud environments using VMware or AWS.

The candidate will manage complex on-prem systems, ensure security posture, and work with the security team to meet DISA STIGs, with a target to obtain Security+ within 90 days. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of STEM experience with emphasis in CS/CE/IT.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in daily system operations and maintenance and use of administration tools.
• Experience in network designs and security postures.
• Experience in SAN/NAS structures.
• Experience implementing DISA STIGs.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware infrastructure, including systems administration, networks and security posture for complex on-premises environments.
• Communicate risks or issues involving performance, availability, or security.
• Follow project change-management processes for changes.
• Support system configuration and deployment.
• Assist with system networking and COTS product installations.
• Provide hands-on Linux and Windows administration.
• Collaborate with the systems security team.
• Obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days.
