Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead climate adaptation projects within our Resilience Services Practice in Florida. The role involves coordinating risk analyses with engineering design, engaging clients, and guiding investments in infrastructure resilience.

You will manage projects, mentor junior staff, support business development in Florida, and travel as required. A self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work across interdisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 5–8 years of work experience.
• Experience with climate change vulnerability and risk reduction strategies.
• Proven capabilities for technical project delivery and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with travel within Florida.
• Experience communicating technical analysis to non-technical audiences.
• Strong QA/QC, attention to detail and excellence.
• Ability to lead junior team members and guide projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and project teams on risk assessment, adaptation options and design.
• Collaborate with risk analysis and engineering teams.
• Develop data visualizations, reports and presentations.
• Maintain QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
• Support development and scoping of medium-sized projects in Florida.
• Travel within Florida as needed and interact with clients.
