Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior transportation engineer to lead complex cross-disciplinary projects. You will deliver engineering calculations, analyses, plans and specs while guiding junior staff and coordinating with clients to meet tight schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates bring a PE/AICP, extensive traffic modeling experience, and ability to manage scope, risk, and multi-discipline teams across major infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred; PhD considered.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP depending on discipline.

Responsibilities

• Apply senior-level engineering techniques to a broad range of solutions.
• Lead discipline delivery on complex projects, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Mentor junior staff and review team work for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Assist with marketing tasks such as proposal generation.
