Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is hiring a Sr. Professional Engineer in the Infrastructure Plan Review center within Development Services. You will lead engineering reviews for private developments, coordinate the full project lifecycle, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal standards.

The role may involve supervisory duties and cross-training to cover leadership gaps. Ideal candidates hold a Texas PE license, have civil engineering experience, and can manage complex workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Three years of professional civil engineering experience as a registered PE, with two years in related area.
• Possession of Texas Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering plan reviews for private developments to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal requirements.
• Coordinate full project lifecycle for public infrastructure within private developments.
• Facilitate IPRC plan reviews and engage stakeholders to navigate compliance standards.
• Analyze KPIs to improve the development review process and drive improvements.
• Develop and refine SOPs to enhance service delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and cross-train to cover Engineering Manager duties when needed.
