Job summary

City of Burleson, TX is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee private development review programs and coordinate with customers and stakeholders. You will ensure timely plan reviews and adherence to city standards.

You will regularly report on program activities, accomplishments, and forecasts, and may supervise assigned staff. A BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) and six years of related experience are required; Texas PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in development review engineering, public works engineering, or other related field.
• Four years of experience reviewing construction plans, plats, site plans, and zoning.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan programs and activities related to private development review.
• Coordinate with customers and other internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
• Regularly report on overall program and individual project/case activities, accomplishments, and forecasts.
• May supervise assigned staff, either directly or indirectly.
