Job summary

FactSet’s Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team in Virginia seeks a Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer to own infrastructure operations, drive deployments, and mentor engineers.

You will collaborate with directors and partners to align goals, optimize tooling, and manage vendor relationships while ensuring scalable, cost-efficient data-center services. The role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and continuous improvement across infrastructure platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data center or enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and rollouts from planning through delivery.
• Experience with alerting, monitoring, and incident management in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical owner of infrastructure operations at the Virginia data center.
• Lead the enhancement of infrastructure software and hardware tooling to improve deployment, connectivity, and user experience.
• Provide project management and technical oversight for large-scale technology rollouts and facility buildouts.
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure design, with a focus on autonomy and scalability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, and act as the escalation point for infrastructure support.
• Partner with director-level stakeholders and other departments to align goals and integrate tools, systems, and projects.
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships to deliver regionalized services and contracts that are cost-conscious and beneficial to end users.
• Champion best practices, coach and mentor engineers, and foster technical excellence across the team.
• Monitor capacity across our infrastructure in the datacenter.
