Job summary

ATANE Consulting is actively seeking an experienced Construction Inspector with 5+ years of experience supporting highway and bride construction projects in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will bring strong inspection experience on transportation infrastructure projects and have worked with state or regional transportation agencies such as RIDOT, CTDOT, or MassDOT/MBTA.

5 years of related experience; knowledge of highway bridge projects and agency procedures; OSHA 10-hour training; ACI/ATSSA

Qualifications

5 years of related experience in similar project environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience performing construction inspection on highway/bridge projects, site safety standards, and agency procedures.
ACI Grade I, ACI-CCTC, ATSSA certifications are highly desirable.
OSHA 10-hour Training is required.

Responsibilities

Construction inspection and supervision of bridge/highway infrastructure to ensure work complies with contract documents and state specs.
Supervise construction progress and scheduling.
Document all field work in writing; measure quantities; take progress photos/videos.
Assist the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
Perform daily construction inspection of activities and test materials (concrete, soils, HMA).
Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and construct as-built documents.
Review plans, shop drawings, field measurements, and daily quantities; monitor safety.
