Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer-SMPES to support USSTRATCOM/J56 and NC3 Enterprise Center. The role focuses on delivering reliable SMPES infrastructure and integrating systems with C2F and other SMPES sites, driving automation and standardized processes.

The candidate should have 12+ years of experience, including 5 in DoD, TS/SCI clearance, and be willing to work on-site at Offutt AFB, NE.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance.
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Years of Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience, including 5 years of DoD experience.
Location: Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska; On-site: Full-time on-site position.

Responsibilities

Engineer and maintain enterprise virtualization solutions (VMware vSphere/ESXi) for 24/7 reliability across 20 SMPES/RECAP strings and 250+ legacy systems.
Design, develop, and maintain 25+ production dashboards in vRealize Aria Operations and Aria Logs for real-time system health visibility.
Lead incident response and outage coordination for all unplanned outages affecting SMPES infrastructure.
Serve as the primary technical POC for infrastructure issues, coordinating with J5, J6 Cyber, and AFNWC teams.
Author system requirements, provide feedback on Change Requests (CRQs), and support the SDLC.
Perform monthly VDI testing and Office compatibility assessments.
Participate in J6/AFNWC DevSecOps cross-functional teams and strategic planning.
Maintain the program Risk Registry and ensure compliance with USSTRATCOM cyber and STIG requirements.
