Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to manage server and platform virtualization across Windows/Linux and cloud ecosystems. You will oversee deployment planning, backup, DR, and security controls, coordinating with IT leadership and end users to ensure reliable systems.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. Expect on-site work in Dallas with opportunities for growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Design and implementation of virtual server infrastructure.
• Advanced daily administration of virtualization environment and DDI platform.
• Experience configuring data protection solutions and Cisco UCS blades.
• Ability to plan, rack and cable datacenter hardware.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP knowledge.
• Strong PowerShell for configuration and automation.
• ITIL knowledge for Service, Change and Incident management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides proactive administration and daily operation for server and application virtualization solutions.
• Plans server deployment, hardware layout, and implementation, and explains plan to management.
• Manages data backup, disaster recovery and replication.
• Performs basic support for cloud platform (Azure).
• Monitors virtualized server environment and resolves host system issues to maximize availability.
• Configures and tests server and datacenter infrastructure.
• Supports datacenter infrastructure including racking and cabling.
• Administers DHCP and DNS infrastructure.
• Researches and resolves complex issues in operations and uptime.
• Consults with management and end users on needs related to systems connectivity.
• Assists with identifying opportunities and designs solutions to improve workflows across projects.
• Installs and maintains software and custom applications; updates patches.
• Maintains thorough technical documentation and design procedures.
