Qualifications

• Direct experience with backup appliances, monitoring, restore processes, and recovery planning.
• Solid networking knowledge and ability to collaborate across systems and network infrastructure.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, troubleshooting, and information-security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the virtualized server environment, provisioning and configuring VMs per requirements.
• Monitor server performance, integrity, and availability and address issues proactively.
• Own and improve backup routines, recovery readiness, system documentation, and DR support.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, M365 permissions/licenses, OS patching, and core security controls.
• Apply GPOs and security standards across servers, storage, and computing platforms.
• Collaborate with Network Engineer and provide Tier 2 escalation support for IT needs.
• Troubleshoot with internal users and vendors to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Systems Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure behind a growing, modern manufacturing operation in Sinton, Texas.

This is not a narrow support role. You will own meaningful work across virtualization, Windows Server, backups, monitoring, security, access management, and network collaboration. You will help ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and ready for the operational demands of the business.

Duties

• Administer and maintain our virtualized server environment, including provisioning and configuring VMs based on end-user and business requirements.
• Monitor server performance, integrity, and availability, then take action before small issues become operational problems.
• Own and improve backup routines, recovery readiness, system documentation, and disaster-recovery support.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 permissions and licenses, OS patching, and core infrastructure security controls.
• Apply established GPOs, information-security standards, and technical best practices across servers, storage, and computing platforms.
• Work closely with our Network Engineer, provide coverage when needed, and serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource for Help Desk and OT network needs.
• Partner with internal users and vendors to troubleshoot issues and deliver dependable, well-documented infrastructure solutions.
