WHAT YOU WILL DO:

HHS Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Linux/AWS/Kubernetes with a proven track record of expertise in Kubernetes, virtualization, networking, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and possess the ability to lead and mentor a team. This individual will play a crucial role in optimizing our deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and shaping the infrastructure architecture. Experience in networking, Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD), AWS cloud services, and proficiency in Java are essential for this role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Collaborate with software development teams to architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment and updates.
• Manage networking configurations and security protocols within Kubernetes environments to ensure optimal communication and data flow.
• Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies, enabling rapid development, iteration, and delivery of software projects.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Utilize AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define infrastructure needs, and align technical solutions with business goals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the DevOps process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in Kubernetes orchestration and administration, including cluster deployment, scaling, and management.
• 3+ years of experience on Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic and ELK for monitoring the application.
• 5+ years’ experience on Linux System Administrator and Networking.
• Strong leadership capabilities demonstrated through previous team leadership roles.
• Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and security practices within Kubernetes environments.
• Strong background and understanding of Linux System Administrator.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure architecture.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and relevant networking certifications are a plus.
