Job summary

Softthink Solutions in Herndon, VA seeks a Citrix Nutanix Systems Engineer to support a client project. You will design and maintain a scalable virtual desktop and app platform delivering desktops, apps, and data securely to users.

The role requires L3/L4 escalation, performance tuning of Citrix and Nutanix, and adherence to IT controls. You will manage VDI, PVS, MCS, AHV, AD, and related tooling across global data centers, with hands-on admin of Windows Server and Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Citrix and Nutanix infrastructure.
• Strong networking knowledge: LAN/WAN/VLAN/Routing/Firewalls, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and MCS.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide a scalable virtual platform to deliver desktops, apps, and data securely.
• Serve as L3/L4 escalation point for unresolved issues.
• Optimize Citrix and Nutanix performance across global data centers.
• Ensure IT controls compliance.

Softthink Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Citrix Nutanix Systems Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA to support our client project.

• Provide a reliable, scalable, virtual technology platform to deliver desktops, applications, and data in a secure manner to users.
• L3/L4 level Escalation point for problems that the helpdesk and admins support cannot resolve to ensure the problem is corrected within a satisfactory timeframe.
• Enhance and resolving performance issues associated with the Citrix and Nutanix infrastructure and able to support Global-datacenter locations.
• Ensure architecture complies with all IT controls related to area of responsibilities.
• Implement, manage, and support Virtual Desktop, Virtual App, UPM, Nutanix AHV and AFS (File Server), AD(GPO/OU).
• High level knowledge on implementation and manage Citrix Provisioning services (PVS) and MCS.
• Administration of systems: Nutanix AHV, ESXi, Windows (2016, 2019), Linux.
• Handles thin client and Nutanix hardware platforms.
• Experience and knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls) and DHCP, DNS.
• Extensive knowledge and Experience with Citrix ADC(SDX/MPX), Citrix Gateway, Okta MFA.
• Create and maintain technical and process documentation to ensure efficient and consistent deployment and support of systems.
• Monitor tools such as Solarwinds, Liquidware and Citrix Director.

At our company and at our client’s company, a Citrix Nutanix Systems Engineer requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
