Job summary

Altara is building a new scientific intelligence platform and seeks a Platform Engineer to own customer-hosted cloud deployments in SF. You will drive end-to-end incident response, implement automated safeguards, and design repeatable pipelines with deep observability.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and empowering the engineering team to ship quickly. Ideal candidates have production Kubernetes and cloud experience, on-prem delivery experience, and strong Linux and networking

Qualifications

• Experience operating production Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Delivery of on-prem or customer-hosted software.
• Strong Linux, networking and IaC fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own complex customer-hosted cloud deployments that run scalably and reliably across diverse customer environments.
• Triage, debug, and resolve high-severity issues end-to-end with automated safeguards and observability.
• Design fully automated deployment pipelines with deep observability to surface edge cases before production.
• Drive developer velocity and build internal tooling to ship fast while maintaining reliability and security.
