Job summary

Crunchyroll is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Infrastructure team in Los Angeles, CA. You will design, implement, and scale edge services and networking for our streaming platform, driving secure, high-performance delivery at global scale.

You will partner with engineers across teams, lead initiatives, and advocate best practices in IaC, CI/CD, and incident response to ensure reliable services for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field required.
• 8+ years in production environments with 5+ years in edge infrastructure and DevOps/SRE.
• Proficient with AWS and IaC (Pulumi, Terraform).
• Experience managing global traffic via Cloudflare or similar.
• Secure cloud environments with Cloudflare tools (WAF, DDoS, Zero Trust).
• Able to analyze traffic patterns and troubleshoot edge delivery issues.
• Design and automate secure, scalable cloud networks (VPCs, subnets).
• GitOps, CI/CD, Linux-based infrastructure experience.
• Experience with CDN/caching (AWS CloudFront) and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to scale and manage streaming platform edge services and networking.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and delivery teams to ensure reliability and performance.
• Drive secure, fast, and resilient cloud networking architectures and practices.
• Introduce new technologies and share knowledge across teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support engineering efforts.
