Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead DevOps, SRE, and IaC efforts supporting the Autonomous Haulage System. You will drive scalable, automated infrastructure with 24/7 reliability across global production environments.

You will mentor peers, establish best practices, and collaborate across software, security, IT, and field operations to maximize uptime and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps or SRE with leadership experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Proven management of on-premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
• Deep knowledge of networking, security and Linux systems.
• Familiarity with SRE practices incl. SLIs/SLOs, incident management, observability tools.
• Experience mentoring/leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives across infrastructure and DevOps domains.
• Develop and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for agile deployments.
• Architect and maintain on-premise virtual environments and capacity planning.
• Design secure, scalable IaC-based infrastructure (Terraform/Ansible/Packer).
• Implement observability with metrics, tracing and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
• Define and monitor SRE metrics (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets).
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production and field systems.
• Collaborate with field engineers to ensure 24/7 high availability at mine sites.
• Mentor peers and drive best practices in infrastructure automation.
