Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer/DBA to manage enterprise SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, optimize replication, and modernize database automation with AI tools. You will work across globally distributed teams, implement monitoring, and ensure reliable data services in dynamic financial workloads.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, on-call coverage, and contributing to resilient, scalable data platforms using AI-driven approaches.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise databases and supporting infrastructure in large-scale environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, plus PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
• Experience with Availability Groups (replication and failover).
• Familiarity with vector databases and AI/LLM retrieval workloads.
• PowerShell scripting and ETL processes.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting at scale and AI-assisted automation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations on data management, governance, and data utilization.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to resolve high-priority issues.
• Manage GAIA application pools.
• Design and maintain monitoring/alerting solutions.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server and PostgreSQL performance and replication.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Availability Groups and failovers.
• Handle certificate tracking and renewals.
• Support vector database platforms for AI/ML workloads.
• Leverage AI tools to automate tasks and diagnose issues.
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure coverage and delivery.
