Job summary

Smartcat is seeking a proven leader to manage DevOps and Infrastructure teams, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability of staging and production environments. You will define best practices for SRE, CI/CD, IaC, and disaster recovery, and drive improvements across cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

With 3 years guiding a multinational IT team and 5+ years in DevOps and SRE, you’ll use data-driven metrics to justify decisions, accelerate release cycles, and mentor engineers toward

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business.
• 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS distributed products.
• Data-driven approach with ability to justify decisions using metrics.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and diverse deployment strategies.
• Experience building and maintaining large scalable cloud applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and Infrastructure teams to improve and maintain the technical infrastructure for development, deployment, and operation of Smartcat.
• Enforce rigorous SRE and DevOps practices, CI/CD testing and reviews to minimize release errors.
• Implement resilient systems and disaster recovery plans for near-perfect product uptime.
• Accelerate CI/CD pipelines and environments to reduce lead time.

This includes ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of staging and production environments, and defining and enforcing best SRE and DevOps practices.

You are expected to strengthen the hiring process, provide expert technical guidance, effective coaching, and career development for your team members

• 3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business;
• 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS (Requests Per Second) distributed products;
• Utilize a data-driven approach. Ability to justify decisions using concrete metrics;
• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices (in a leading role), specifically in building complex CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and realizing various deployment strategies;
• Possess practical experience in developing and maintaining large scalable applications in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Net Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, AWS, Kafka, ES, Gitlab CI, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Jaeger, k8s
