Florida Power & Light Company is seeking a senior technologist to drive architecture decisions and design automated infrastructure provisioning for application deployments. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, cybersecurity, and operations to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure outcomes.

This role requires broad depth across cloud, servers, networking, security, identity, automation, and related platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience in senior or principal architecture roles with cross-domain influence.
• Proven ability to design and deliver IaC-driven provisioning systems (e.g., Terraform).

Responsabilités

• Own architecture for automated provisioning of infrastructure resources across cloud, compute, networking, security, DNS/IPAM, IAM, ITSM/CMDB, monitoring and operations.
• Direct design decisions with implementation partners to meet enterprise standards and operational requirements.
• Define and enforce reusable infrastructure patterns, interfaces, and operating requirements for application-ready infrastructure across domains.
• Identify and eliminate technical dependencies, design gaps, and provisioning bottlenecks causing manual tickets or delays.
• Make architecture decisions across IaC, orchestration, policy automation, integration, resiliency and lifecycle management.
• Validate that automation capabilities are fully supportable and operable in production by NextEra teams.
