Job summary

Schurz Broadband Group is seeking a senior Systems Administrator to architect and secure large-scale infrastructure across servers, virtualization, and storage. The role handles core ISP services, ensures high availability, and drives automation to reduce manual work.

You will lead security and compliance programs, mentor engineers, and serve as the top escalation point for major incidents, shaping long-term infrastructure strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of server or networking experience.
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, ISP network architecture, and core protocols.
• Mastery of managing and troubleshooting servers through shell commands and scripting.
• Deep automation and orchestration experience (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
• A security-first approach: vulnerability management, intrusion detection, incident handling, and compliance (FCC, PCI, SOC 2).
• Proven ability to architect large-scale systems and lead complex root-cause investigations.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee enterprise server, virtualization, and storage environments.
• Design and improve core ISP services for high availability and redundancy.
• Build automation and orchestration frameworks to standardize deployments.
• Lead security, compliance, and disaster-recovery programs.
• Serve as the top escalation point for critical incidents.
• Mentor administrators and produce executive-level diagrams and reports.
