Job summary

CR Access Consulting is seeking a System Architect III to design, build, and maintain complex systems and networks, advising on architecture, security, and performance. The role blends hands-on technical work with strategic guidance to meet customer and government requirements.

The candidate will document design specifications, verify security and scalability, and collaborate with engineers to ensure interoperable components.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security or systems engineering.
• Experience building and maintaining information and security systems.
• Knowledge of database and operating system security and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on security systems experience (firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication, log management).

Responsibilities

• Document design specifications and installation instructions.
• Verify stability, interoperability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers to select design solutions and ensure compatibility of components.
• Evaluate current technologies for cost, portability, and usability.
• Provide technical guidance for development or troubleshooting of systems.
• Define and analyze objectives, scope, and impact of information systems.
• Develop system engineering, software engineering, or distributed system architectures.
• Design and conduct hardware or software tests.
• Configure servers to meet functional specifications.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, or budgets.
