Job summary

Alterman, Inc. is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network and infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive automation, ensure security, and deliver remediation plans with leadership. This role requires deep expertise in VMware/Nutanix, Azure, Windows Server, and backup/recovery, with strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in network/infrastructure roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field preferred.
• Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Administrator/Architect).
• Nutanix AHV, VMware VCP or equivalent virtualization certification preferred.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages enterprise network and server infrastructure, including switches, routing, firewalls, physical servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (Azure).
• Leads remediation planning with prioritized recommendations and performs advanced troubleshooting.
• Develops and maintains automated deployment processes for server provisioning and patch management.
• Implements security controls, standards, and vulnerability remediation for infrastructure environments.
• Mentors Infrastructure Engineers and partners with cross-functional teams on long-term solutions.
• Manages data backup operations and contributes to disaster recovery planning.
