Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods for infrared lenses. You will collaborate with Design Engineering to support lens product releases, estimate costs, set time standards, and select tooling and process requirements for existing and new product lines.

The role spans office, lab, and manufacturing environments and requires applying Lean and 5S principles to promote efficiency while adhering to ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar mechanical design software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for infrared lens production.
• Create and update assembly/test instructions to meet standards.
• Evaluate defects and implement corrective actions with Quality.
• Provide technical support for out-of-flow materials and production issues.
• Continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and training.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Vendors to optimize equipment.
• Train technicians and audit processes for compliance and effectiveness.
• Work with Mechanical/Tooling Design teams on device development.
• Evaluate and procure equipment to support development needs.
• Apply Lean and 5S to promote efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Work with Engineering to ensure correct specifications for evaluation.
