Job summary

Cadence is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to help design, build, and improve our processor generator, processing systems, and supporting infrastructure in a dynamic team environment.

You will work across the full product life cycle, from analyzing user needs to developing control components, backend systems, and automated testing, interacting with multiple teams and delivering scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 7+ years (MS) or 10+ years (BS) in CS or related field.
• Strong experience building database driven production systems in Java, Perl, Python, etc.
• Experience building Java/React web apps that interact with SQL databases via REST services.
• Experience with Tomcat and architecting web/app servers.
• Experience designing SQL/NoSQL databases and test systems.
• Experience with Jenkins and Grafana for dashboards and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and cross-team collaboration.
• Fluency scripting on Windows and Linux; understanding OS and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for processor generator and infrastructure.
• Build control systems for multiple product build systems and supporting infra.
• Develop infrastructure components interfacing with databases, systems, and APIs.
• Create REST API servlets for remote product functionality connected to systems.
• Automate importing order information into live build and delivery systems.
• Develop web apps for customers and internal infrastructure; manage release branches.
• Design and evolve databases to support product functionality and internal tools.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements within time and cost constraints.
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, and improve performance.
• Engineer tests and integrate features into new releases; support test phases.
• Collaborate with marketing, applications, and order processing teams to streamline delivery.
• Support delivery system operations and automate fulfillment processes.
