Job summary

TensorWave is building large-scale, high-performance infrastructure to power AI workloads. We seek a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to lead the virtualization platform, focusing on KVM/QEMU, Linux primitives, and scalable design across data center environments.

Role involves hands-on implementation and ongoing optimization for VM lifecycle, CPU scheduling, NUMA alignment, and GPU passthrough. You’ll partner with networking and storage teams, drive automation, and address complex distributed

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure, systems or platform engineering experience.
• Deep Linux-based virtualization experience with KVM/QEMU and libvirt tooling.
• Strong understanding of CPU scheduling, NUMA, memory management, and I/O paths.
• Experience designing/operating virtualization platforms at scale (hundreds+ hosts).
• Solid networking basics (bridges, bonding, VLANs) and high-performance networking concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) and distributed systems troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable virtualization platform supporting high-density compute and GPU workloads.
• Evolve platforms toward KVM/QEMU-based architectures; standardize VM lifecycle management.
• Optimize for performance isolation, resource allocation, and resilience.
• Collaborate with networking/storage teams to integrate high-throughput systems (SR‑IOV, RDMA).
• Build automation for hypervisor deployment, image pipelines, and cluster scaling.
• Troubleshoot deep system-level performance across compute, memory, storage, and network tiers.
• Contribute to long-term platform architecture and infrastructure strategy.
