Job summary

TensorWave is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join a newly built Level 2 team. You will own escalated tickets, diagnose Linux/Kubernetes/Slurm related issues, and write runbooks to prevent future repeats.

You’ll collaborate with customer engineers, shape escalation paths, and contribute to runbooks and tooling. You’ll be part of a hands-on, diagnostic role that thrives on hunting down root causes in GPU cloud, HPC, and AI infrastructure, with opportunities to extend coverage and improve

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Linux systems administration, site reliability engineering, or a technical support role with diagnostic ownership.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting across system, networking, storage, and kernel boundary interactions.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, cluster/pod state, and scheduling/placement diagnostics.
• Experience with a batch scheduler in shared compute environments, ideally Slurm.
• Scripting ability in Python or Bash to automate diagnosis.
• Experience with incident tracking systems such as JIRA or PagerDuty.
• Excellent written communication to explain findings clearly under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own level 2 tickets escalated from the global operations center and drive to resolution.
• Diagnose issues across Linux hosts, GPUs, Kubernetes workloads, Slurm, storage, and networking.
• Investigate degraded training and inference workloads using logs and metrics.
• Triage hardware faults and coordinate with data center operations for remediation.
• Collaborate with customer engineers and keep them informed during investigations.
• Write and maintain runbooks to enable level 1 resolution and fill gaps.
• Build diagnostic scripts and small tools to shorten investigations.
• Contribute to knowledge base to reduce recurring tickets.
• Partner with technical account managers on account health and trends.
• Participate in on-call rotation and help push toward 24-7 coverage.
