Job summary

Designworks Talent LLC seeks a Senior Virtualization & Orchestration Engineer to help build the platform powering AI infrastructure in Bellevue. You will design and operate virtualization, Kubernetes, and GPU provisioning systems for multi-tenant workloads in a hybrid Bellevue, WA setting.

Ideal candidates bring strong Kubernetes experience, large-scale infra design, and Linux/distributed systems knowledge, enabling end-to-end ownership of critical platform components.

Qualifications

• Production experience with Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale infrastructure platforms.
• Background with virtualization technologies supporting cloud, HPC, or distributed compute environments.

Responsibilities

• Design virtualization infrastructure to support GPU-intensive AI and HPC workloads.
• Develop and operate Kubernetes-based orchestration for GPU cluster provisioning and scheduling.
• Build automated provisioning to allocate, scale, and reclaim GPU capacity across tenants.
• Design workload placement, resource management, and cluster lifecycle strategies.
• Collaborate with hardware, networking, and AI platform teams to align orchestration with architectures.
• Improve reliability, security, scalability, and operational maturity of the platform.
• Create tooling and automation to simplify infrastructure management and improve dev/customer experiences.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards as the platform evolves.
